Following the success of both adults and several high school students over the past three years, the Mount Gambier Library is pleased to again host GovHack Open Data Competition. Mount Gambier has produced winners each year, with competitors walking away with thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. The competition: To come up with an idea to make data more accessible to the public – think apps/websites/artwork/graphs…. It doesn’t have to be a working model – just a great concept. This year the competition runs from Friday 28th July until Sunday 30th July 2017 and is open for two age group categories. GovHack Youth Node is open for 13-18 year olds, and GovHack Adult Node is open to over 18 year olds. There are prizes at 3 levels for each category; Local (Mount Gambier), State and National.
